Multi-dimensional measurement
The Dplus encoders from HEIDENHAIN can measure multiple degrees of freedom with respect to a single axis, allowing deviations in one axis to be measured and compensated for in a neighboring one.
Innovative scales
This scale contains two separate graduation tracks with diagonal graduation lines oriented at ±45°. This design allows a secondary measurement axis to be captured across the entire primary measuring length.
Fast and precise
Along with its high accuracy, the LIP 6031 Dplus also supports fast traversing motion. With measuring steps of down to 172 picometers and a traversing speed of up to 240 m/min, it’s ideal for high-precision applications requiring strong dynamic performance.
Measure multiple degrees of freedom
The two separate graduation tracks on the Dplus scale allow up to three degrees of freedom to be measured when two scanning heads are used. This technology makes it possible to implement complex measuring tasks with a simple and compact encoder design.
EnDat 3 interface
The scanning head of the LIP 6031 Dplus encoder can measure two degrees of freedom at the same time. Thanks to the encoder’s EnDat 3 interface, the two position values are transmitted to the downstream electronics over a single cable.
Integrated reference marks
Perform referencing on two measurement axes simultaneously. Both graduation tracks of the LIP 6031 Dplus include a reference mark, thus providing absolute position feedback for the encoder’s primary and secondary measurement axes.
