CNC training center gets upgrades
Continuing to make good on HEIDENHAIN’s commitment to “Customer First” initiative, its TNC-CNC Academy tools have once again been upgraded to meet the needs of the evolving machine tool/manufacturing industry. With hardware upgrades in both HEIDENHAIN’s Interactive Training Center (ITC) that includes eight desktop stations and its Applied Technology Center (ATC) with more machine tools equipped with HEIDENHAIN controls in action, the center is ready for the next training sessions.
“Now every student can work with touch screen technology as well as take lessons in the ITC with instructions and machine tool actions as projected on the wall,” explained HEIDENHAIN’s Director of Business Development for Machine Tool, Gisbert Ledvon.
He adds, “also in the big ATC room that has included a Hermle machine with a TNC 640 and a DMG machine with a TNC 530, we now have a Kern machine equipped with HEIDENHAIN touch probe technology and tool and pallet changers, as well as our new TNC7 with a simulator! We believe this digital technology center is just what is needed to meet the needs of today’s manufacturers.”
