Empowering women in manufacturing

HEIDENHAIN North America recently welcomed the Women in Manufacturing (WiM) Illinois chapter for an inspiring and engaging plant tour. The morning kicked off with a breakfast sponsored by BMO Commercial Bank, setting a collaborative tone and fueling an exciting day of learning and connection.

The event featured a series of talks led by the talented women of HEIDENHAIN North America. They shared insights into their roles and the commitment to producing precision components that power industries as diverse as machine tooling, MRI machines, wind turbines, and semiconductors. The passion and expertise of the team members underscored HEIDENHAIN’s dedication not only to manufacturing excellence but also to advancing opportunities for women in this dynamic field.

HEIDENHAIN North America took the opportunity to showcase its leadership in CNC technology. By highlighting offerings like Acu-Rite Solutions for CNC machine upgrades, they demonstrated their desire to improve workforce development and innovation in the industry.

The facility tour was a particular highlight, taking attendees through HEIDENHAIN’s manufacturing floor, service department, and advanced 5-axis lab. They saw some of the most sophisticated equipment in action, including Hermle and Exeron CNC machines. Each stop offered a deeper look into the precision and craftsmanship driving HEIDENHAIN’s work every day.
